About the NCBA
The North Carroll Business Alliance, (NCBA), of Manchester, MD, previously recognized as the Manchester Area Merchants Association for over thirty years, now operates as a registered 501c3 in conjunction with the Carroll Foundation of Westminster, MD.
Beginning January 2021, NCBA, intended to support our surrounding business community’s potential, participates in and offers our members an awareness of local business dynamics, an opportunity for community service and marketing to complement their business development and success.
NCBA has committed to continuing the tradition of providing annual student scholarships to deserving graduating local High School seniors through active business community participation. Funds generated through NCBA activities are given directly back to the community to benefit local students, our members marketing and community events.
The newly elected Board of Trustees reflects a variety of local successful business involvement. A primary goal of the Board is to re-engage local businesses, (many effected by the COVID pandemic), by creating marketing value and to support a positive business resource for our members. As an example, our members now have access to the Chamber of Commerce and Carroll Foundation resources as part of our membership benefit.
Core Values
Our focus is on helping businesses in North Carroll join together and grow. We meet once a month to network and provide quality speakers providing education and inspiration. NCBA hopes to be the resource for all businesses in the North Carroll while remaining based in Manchester. All members are urged to participate in decision making on events and meeting activities.
Mission
NCBA provides our members an awareness of local business dynamics, an opportunity for community service and marketing to complement their business development and success. NCBA is committed to providing annual student scholarships to deserving graduating local High School seniors through active business community participation. Funds generated through NCBA activities are given directly back to the community to benefit local students, our members and community events.
Currently the NCBA holds monthly meetings at Spargo’s or Dutch Corner. Monthly meetings are open to all members, their guests, and any interested businesspeople. The purpose of these meetings are to network with your fellow North Carroll business friends and to update everyone on business opportunities and events happening in Carroll County. The NCBA offers interesting speakers and our meetings allow for you as a business person, to promote your business.
In summary, by providing our members an up to date, local business environment awareness, expanded and effective marketing to reach more potential users/customers, and the opportunity to participate in community events, we look forward to the continuation of our scholarship tradition and to position our business community and students for success.
