March 2026 Meeting

The guest speaker for our meeting is Christy Butler – the Western Region Public Engagement Officer for the Comptroller of MD.

Christy represents the agency across Allegany, Carroll, Frederick, Garrett, and Washington counties. In this role, she acts as a local liaison between the Comptroller’s Office and residents, businesses, community organizations, and faith communities in Western Maryland, helping people understand and access state tax services, unclaimed property resources, and other programs. She participates in community events and meetings, organizes outreach and educational efforts, helps coordinate official citations recognizing local achievements, and connects constituents with the appropriate specialists inside the Comptroller’s Office when issues require technical expertise.
