This June, the meeting was back to Spargos in Manchester and there was barely a free seat in the house!
VP Chuck Mewshaw, subbing for the vacationing Mat Tiahrt, got things going with a talk about the group’s goals, the new scholarships that were given out, and the Gala. After that, David Bishop gave a short review of the new NCBA website and we had the Officers’ reports.
The first speaker was Jim Bosley, Jr., the President of Farmers & Merchants Bank. He gave an enlightening talk about the Bank’s history, his time with Farmers & Merchants Bank, and the current state of the banking industry. You can find a video of his talk on our new YouTube channel.
Following Mr. Bosley was member Chris Tomlinson. Chris is both a candidate for State Delegate and (now) a newlywed! During his speech, we got to hear about his upcoming marriage, his campaign, and the general state of Carroll County and Maryland politics. It was a very informative few minutes that I think you may enjoy watching on, yes… our new YouTube channel!
In the end, it was a fantastic meeting. People got to network, we learned some valuable information, and we heard from great speakers. What more could you ask for!
